Summer Day Camp

Camp session:  July 27 - July 31, 2026

 

Give your child an exciting, formative day camp experience learning traditional martial arts at New Orleans' oldest karate school!

 

Open to kids age 5 through 12, with no experience through intermediate level. Classes will be divided based on experience. 

 

Camp program includes:

• Traditional Japanese Shotokan karate classes daily, led by Japan Karate Association (JKA) certified instructors

• Supplementary activities including yoga, meditation, arts & crafts, Japanese language, snoballs & more!

• Fitness exercises / games, based on plyometrics, strength & conditioning

• Team-building & cooperation exercises

• Lunch break

 

Camp runs 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Before & after care available for additional cost upon request. Inquire at info@lkakarate.com.

This is an excellent opportunity to expose your child to traditional Japanese martial arts and develop physical fitness, confidence, self-discipline & focus. Your child can develop confidence, discipline & self-defense skills while having fun. Children learn to block, punch, kick & more with proper form. Students work together to practice techniques & develop communication, respect & teamwork.
